May 15, 16, 17: The fringe festival

What the heck’s a fringe festival, you ask? Well, it’s an amazing weekend of brand-spankin’-new theatre, film, performance art, music, and whatever else we can get our hands on, produced and performed by individual artists and some of the coolest groups on the Houston arts scene, such as Mildred’s Umbrella Theater Company, Bobbindoctrin Puppet Theatre, Melusine Theatre, Six of One Productions, Brazosport Lazer Panthers, and more! So come join us on May 14, 15, 16 and 17 at various locations in the Westheimer/Taft area. This year a percentage of the festival’s profits will be donated to Writers in the Schools and a percentage of the profit will be returned to the festivals participating artists.
Let’s have a festival!

The Museum of Dysfunction: Family Album
Houston, TX- Mildred’s Umbrella Theater Company and The Fan Factory Theatre team up to present you with a fun (and frightening) night of snapshots family dysfunction. Hosted by Avant Garden, one of the leading supporters of alternative art in Houston, These two companies provide you with a museum tour guide, who will take you to the nooks and crannies of the ‘museum’ where you will be able to take a peek into the dark crevices of family life. You might recognize some of these scenarios, hopefully, not others.
