 roup Continuum happily announces their first Artist Residency granted by H
 ouston&rsquo\;s art and entertainment venue, AvantGarden. The members of C
 ontinuum will host a series of site specific performance art events and wo
 rkshops for a period of six months, from November 2012 to April 2013.\n\n 
 In the past couple of years Houston has witnessed extraordinary growth in 
 its performance art scene. Continuum has been an integral part of this nas
 cent growth, having facilitated an engaging series of workshops and perfor
 mance events at local venues as well as guerrilla style performances aroun
 d town. With &ldquo\;Continuum Live Art Series&rdquo\;, the group will con
 tinue encouraging local emerging performance artists by providing the oppo
 rtunity to experiment and expand their body of work. AvantGarden, a venue 
 that recently took part in organizing and hosting  &ldquo\;Lone Star Explo
 sion,&rdquo\; Houston&rsquo\;s first International Performance Art Biennia
 l, is the ideal host for this exciting endeavor due to its interest in sup
 porting the medium of performance art.Continuum Live Art Events will usual
 ly occur on the last weekend of each month. Workshops will be held on Sund
 ay evenings at AvantGarden&rsquo\;s upstairs gallery two weeks prior to ea
 ch Live Art Event. Workshop participants will be able to sharpen their ide
 as through fun performance exercises and encouraging feedback provided by 
 Continuum members. The Grand Opening will include over ten local performan
 ce artists that will inhabit the venue in a unique and provocative way, in
 viting the audience to become part of the art itself.Participation is enco
