Anita Aysola's music has an exotic flair rooted in her American upbringing and Indian heritage. Influenced by jazz, rock, and classical Indian vocals, Anita is a piano virtuoso who combines playful, honest lyrics with a sultry vocal delivery.
Her minor in music at the University of Michigan and years of playing in various Chicago and Boston bands such as Funkadesi, Kokapelli, Lotus and Bangalore really show in her solo material, which became available in 2008 when she released her first studio album "more than maybe" followed by several single releases.
In October 2010, Anita performed at a private Democratic fundraiser that included President Barack Obama and other esteemed guests. She also opened for Yoni Ki Baat at the Navy Memorial Theatre. Anita has performed mainly in Boston, Chicago, Houston, and Washington D.C.
